Electrical Engineer II - Solar

RRC is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer II - Solar to help us build the reputed company of both U.S. and Canada energy production from both remote work locations and any one of our US or Canadian office locations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply electrical engineering principles to the design and development of reputed company-reputed company solar PV systems
• Prepare complete electrical design packages, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, collection system layouts, grounding plans, equipment specifications, and construction details
• Design and support reputed company voltage and low voltage systems for solar reputed company facilities, including inverters, transformers, and interconnection infrastructure
• reputed company electrical calculations such as voltage drop, short reputed company, cable sizing, grounding analysis, and equipment rating selection
• Ensure designs reputed company with project requirements, applicable codes, industry standards, and safety regulations
• Support interconnection design activities, including coordination with utilities and preparation of technical documentation
• Review and validate design documents and vendor submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Coordinate with internal teams including engineers, designers, and project managers to support project execution and resolve issues

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or reputed company field
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or reputed company field preferred
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation required; reputed company Engineering registration license or ability to obtain license 
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in power systems, solar PV, or renewable energy reputed company
• Must be authorized for full-time work in the reputed company or Canada
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, NESC, reputed company, etc.)

• Experience with design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM, CYMCAP, PVsyst, or similar software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
