Challenger 300/350/3500 Type Rating Instructors and Examiners

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-03-27
Job Profile:

Vista pioneered an innovative business model where clients pay only for the hours they fly, rather than owning or fractionally owning an aircraft. Today, we make business aviation simple, delivering a seamless flight experience anywhere, anytime, around the globe.

Vista is the world’s only truly global aviation company, serving corporations, governments, and private clients across more than 200 countries and territories through its unrivalled fleet of silver and red business jets.

Following the recent Challenger 3500 aircraft order, Vista continues to scale its operations to support sustained growth. To further strengthen our training capability, we are expanding our on-type expertise through the addition of a dedicated Type Rating Instructor and Examiner. This role will complement our existing team of training professionals and ensure the highest standard of support for on-type training requirements.

Role Overview

As a Type Rating Instructor and Examiner, you are responsible for delivering the highest standards of training and assessment, ensuring pilot competence, consistency, and operational excellence across the fleet. You play a critical role in upholding VistaJet’s safety culture, regulatory compliance, and commitment to absolute pride in our work.

Your Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Deliver type rating training, recurrent training, proficiency checks, and skill tests in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Objectively assess pilot performance against EASA requirements and VistaJet operating procedures.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity in training and assessment across all pilots.
  • Deliver base training as required, maintaining the highest safety and instructional standards.
  • Develop and reinforce pilot competency in VistaJet Standard Operating Procedures and operational philosophy.
  • Motivate and elevate crew members to consistently perform at the highest standard.
  • Complete all training documentation, reports, and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide clear, structured, and constructive debriefings following training and assessment events.
  • Exercise instructor / examiner privileges, including the endorsement of licences and training records, in full compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Actively participate in instructor and examiner standardisation programmes.
  • Support additional operational, training, or project-based activities in line with business needs.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid EASA ATPL(A) with CL30 type rating.
  • Current Type Rating Instructor (TRI) certification on type.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess objectively and deliver high-quality debriefings including the use of facilitation when required.
  • Strong leadership, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to operate to the highest standards with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, multinational environment.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

What Sets You Apart

  • Obsession about our clients, ensuring every crew member is trained to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Eagerness to invent, continuously improving training quality and delivery.
  • Ability to think long term, developing pilots not just for today, but for sustained excellence.
  • Absolute pride in your work, with uncompromising standards in safety and professionalism.
  • Natural ability to lead, motivate, and elevate those around you.
