Regular Full-Time Cleveland, OH, US 3 days ago Requisition Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $ Annually This is a remote position. Must be located in PA, NJ, OH, IN, MN or WI Position Overview The senior risk control consultant evaluates our policyholders’ risk control environment from an all-lines perspective. They will conduct on-site surveys, investigate risk exposures and accidents, and analyze risk experience and program needs with complex accounts. The senior risk control consultant is also responsible for making recommendations and customizing plans and follow through, to help the policyholder maintain sound risk control programs, processes, and program implementation activities. This position requires advanced communication skills including public speaking, and the ability to train and present. Essential Functions • Identifies property and general liability concerns through onsite property inspections or by reviewing third-party inspection reports • Communicates, through reports or other means, identified life safety, operational, and property concerns to HAI Group’s Underwriting, Claims, Account Management, and Agency departments • Conducts loss analyses to develop and implement loss control programs tailored to the needs of the policyholder • Delivers successful presentations and training to audiences at all levels of an organization • Collaborates with senior team members and management to creates risk management educational materials, such as articles and templates to be shared with policyholders • Is able to walk properties, climb stairwells, and go up and down ladders to inspect building components Job Requirements Required • Four to six years’ experience in the risk control or safety field • Bachelor’s Degree in safety, engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience • Advanced knowledge about OSHA and NFPA standards • Valid driver’s license • Ability to travel approximately 40% annually • Experience with delivering presentations, training experience, preferred • Must be able to be on-site for two weeks for training upon hire in our Cheshire, CT office • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. • Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent, preferred • Experience with general liability and property insurance and other insurance coverages and applications, preferred • Experience with apartment real estate or public housing operations, preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Self-motivated and highly organized • Excellent oral and written communicator (to both small groups and large crowds) • Possesses a high level of integrity • Willingness to learn and utilize best practices • Ability to become a trusted advisor to the policyholder Work Environment and Physical Demands • Inside climate-controlled office building • Prolonged sitting and using a PC • 40% Travel • Ability to lift 25lbs Department Overview The Risk Control and Consulting department is a customer-facing department that interacts directly with policyholders to help them better manage their risk.
