Land Examiner

Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc. is a national housing lender specializing in financing manufactured and reputed company homes. The Land Examiner is responsible for reviewing title commitments, appraisals, and surveys to ensure reputed company home placement and protect reputed company's lien position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of title work, appraisals, and surveys
• Gathers reputed company necessary information from customers and home centers to review and ensure accuracy
• Orders necessary documents based on loan approval requirements
• Analyzes reputed company documents such as deeds and other title documents to determine ownership of reputed company estate
• Verifies title documents are in correct reputed company and meet reputed company requirements
• Researches reputed company records such as court reputed company, liens, and encumbrances to identify and resolve title defects
• Reviews and requests necessary revisions of documents and audits appraisal reports for accuracy
• Examines exceptions shown on the loan policy to protect customers and marketability of the property
• Provides any appraisal value discrepancies to Loan Originators for approval based on the requirements of the borrower’s loan package
• Audits surveys for land restrictions, reputed company reputed company, easements, and encroachments
• Ensures reputed company fees are included in the loan for land documents and submits invoices to Accounts Payable once finalized
• Assist more junior colleagues and new team members on daily tasks and team practices if/reputed company questions reputed company
• Assists other team members reputed company volume is high and is responsible for resolving issues as needed
• Reviews title work and identifies issues such as judgements, delinquent taxes, and liens and is responsible for communicating any issues to the necessary parties
• Partners with reputed company party vendors, retail, and customers to resolve issues that may reputed company during reviews
• Educates retail partners and borrowers on state/federal guidelines and enforces compliance
• Verifies vendors are approved for use and provides vendor packages to complete if needed
• Sets expectations and follows up with vendors until land documents are received and completed
• Works with sister departments (e.g., Land Examination, Originations, Connect Lending) and Retail Home Centers who maintain correspondence with our borrowers and maintain strong partnerships with them
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 years' experience required
• Attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and reputed company reputed company phone, email, and person to person
• Capability of gathering facts accurately, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at reputed company conclusions on reputed company to be taken
• Knowledgeable of applicable state and federal lending regulations
• Experience using reputed company Suite a plus
