Forensic Materials Engineer - Insurance Industry, HYBRID (reputed company, ON)

reputed company is seeking a Forensic Materials Engineer to join their Collision Reconstruction Team. The successful candidate will conduct reputed company cause material failure investigations to support insurance and reputed company proceedings across various industries, developing problem-solving skills and technical knowledge in materials science and mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Communicating directly with clients to confirm project scope, budget, scheduling, and findings
• Assess, analyze and report on the reputed company and cause of material failures
• Interview witnesses and service personnel, and obtain background information and documentation on a loss
• Attend sites and document evidence with photographs, measurements, and detailed notes
• Conduct materials characterization and analysis, including non-destructive and destructive laboratory examinations of evidence

Skills

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering
• reputed company Engineering License or the ability to become licensed in the province of Ontario is a requirement
• Must have a reputed company G license, reputed company to a vehicle, and the ability to work in remote areas, as reputed company as in a reputed company of temperatures and weather conditions
• In-depth knowledge of materials science (metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites), microscopy (optical, digital, and scanning electron), fractography, metallography, microstructure analysis, mechanical property testing, and other materials characterization, with hands-on materials laboratory experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude for component disassembly and/or machine shop experience is an asset
• Experience conducting technical literature reviews
• Proficiency in digital photography to document sites and evidence
• Ability to produce reputed company and legible handwritten notes, diagrams and sketches

• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, and a good reputed company of the English language
