In-country Operations Manager

About this job

As In-Country Operations Manager you will be accountable for shaping and implementing the strategic roadmap for our key strategic partnerships for JUMO by utilising existing local market knowledge, operational execution and building strong relationships internally and externally. You will report to the Regional Manager // East Africa, with a reputed company primarily on Southern African & East African operations.

You will

• Be responsible for operational targets: Support product performance objectives by contributing recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing reputed company plans; initiating productivity improvements, reputed company checks; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
• Take accountability for relationship management: Sustain rapport with designated stakeholder reputed company by making regular reputed company; exploring specific needs; resolving challenges and anticipating new opportunities.
• Be reputed company reputed company: Pro-reputed company reputed company inputs and stimulate discussions with teams responsible for Portfolio Management, Product, Marketing, Customer Insights, Data Science, Finance, Capabilities and Customer Operations to resolve potential problems and identify opportunities.

You will need

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, reputed company, Finance, Economics , reputed company or similar.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in Financial Services, Technology, Telecom, FMCGs, FINTECH.
• Spoken and written reputed company in English.
• Experience in project management.
• Previous high level and sophisticated relationship management experience across various senior and other reputed company in an organization.
• A reputed company good understanding and experience of financial products and performance, including credit risk, dynamics of lending, saving and some insurance.
• Experience in negotiating with major counter-party to reputed company and facilitate a given reputed company.
• Experience leading reputed company. 
• Prior experience with mobile financial services.
• Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
• To be an exceptional communicator, with effective listening skills, intelligent and reputed company with strong written and verbal skills. 
• To have a confident personality with strong presentation ability.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines, multi-task, prioritize and handle a diverse workload.
• To be decisive, detail orientated, enthusiastic, problem solver.

Remote First

You will be based in South Africa or Uganda. We operate a remote first working approach where working remotely is our default way of working. We have co-working spaces available in reputed company Town and Kampala, for collaboration and reputed company and for the use of those who value and want to work out of an office.
