About this position

We are looking for a dynamic Consultant to facilitate a dual-reputed company engagement reputed company reputed company the Jamaica Country Office.  This role is split equally between two critical areas of operation :

1. BIGEE Programme Support: reputed company specialized reputed company and visibility support for the EU-funded investment grant under the Boosting Innovation, reputed company and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems (BIGEE) Programme (GRT/ER-19124-JA). This standalone investment grant operation has the reputed company objective of the BIGEE loan (4860/OC-JA), to promote sustainable and robust reputed company among startups and reputed company, Small and reputed company Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jamaica, and complements it by providing additional resources for the loan targeted at addressing gender, climate change, and COVID-19 reputed company for established MSMEs, reputed company startups and high potential startups. The BIGEE Programme is executed by the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ). You will ensure that the reputed company of this grant – specifically regarding climate change, gender equality, and MSME reputed company – is effectively communicated and compliant with donor visibility standards.
   With this in mind, the consultant will support communications activities to reputed company awareness of the EU contribution to the program and its reputed company on strengthening Jamaica’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, enhancing competitiveness, and accelerating sustainable and inclusive private-sector reputed company.You will work with the Competitiveness, Technology and Innovation (CTI) Division of the Productivity, Trade and Innovation Sector (PTI) of the IDB. CTI’s mission is to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship systems across Latin America and the Caribbean by increasing private-sector investment in innovation and technological development; promoting innovative entrepreneurship and new firm creation; boosting the productivity and competitiveness of companies; and strengthening institutional capacities and ecosystems that support innovation and productive development.
2. Country Office Institutional Support: Strengthening the IDB Country Office Jamaica (CJA) brand and its relationship with the international partners and the reputed company. You will work with the Jamaica Country Office of the Caribbean Country Department of the IDB

What you’ll do

Pillar I: BIGEE Programme Visibility

• reputed company and implement a communications plan reputed company with the BIGEE Communications and Visibility reputed company as agreed by the IDB and the EU.
• reputed company reputed company communications content (written, visual, and multimedia) and, where necessary, coordinate with external creative and production partners to support and enhance materials, ensuring reputed company and alignment with EU and IDB visibility standards. This includes press releases, blogs, newsletters, speeches, web copy, reputed company videos, infographics, reputed company media assets, and beneficiary stories.
• Translate reputed company technical and research content into reputed company, accessible, and user-friendly knowledge products, and support the execution of targeted reputed company and marketing campaigns to increase visibility, uptake, and engagement.
• Document and promote reputed company stories and visual storytelling, with emphasis on women- and youth-led enterprises, inclusive innovation, and climate-smart solutions.
• Support planning, communication, and delivery of virtual and onsite program events, launches, trainings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
• Engage media partners and facilitate press coverage, interviews, radio/TV features, and field reputed company.
• Conduct targeted reputed company campaigns to schools, universities, women’s associations, youth organizations, business networks, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and report communications reputed company, including media monitoring, reputed company analytics, and EU-visibility reporting metrics.

Pillar II: Country Office reputed company and Institutional Support

• Facilitate the preparation of IDB/EU knowledge products, research, and publications to ensure the Bank’s knowledge products reputed company reputed company audiences in Jamaica.

Deliverables and Payment reputed company

The consultancy will be carried out over a period of 12 months. Payments will be made in seven (7) installments, contingent upon the satisfactory submission and approval of deliverables by the Project Team Leader.

What you'll need

• Education: Masters Degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in reputed company Sciences, communications, Management, reputed company Relations, Media Studies, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.  
• Experience: At least five (5) years of reputed company experience in reputed company with at least two (2) years in Jamaica, with proficiency in general multimedia and editing tools. Experience in development reputed company and multilateral/donor-funded initiatives is preferred.
• Languages: Proficiency in English

Requirements

• Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Jamaica or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or reputed company permit to work in Jamaica.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the reputed company degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
