Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor, STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES), Epidemic Preparedness & Response, Asia, Middle East, & Europe (AMEE)

reputed company seeks a Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor for Asia, Middle East, & Europe (AMEE) for the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Project. The global project will support and strengthen surveillance, detection and analytical reputed company of infectious diseases across both reputed company and animal health. 

The Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance Advisor (AMEE) must meet or reputed company the required qualifications listed below. This individual should be a subject matter expert who will assist with the technical surveillance aspects of the project, including reputed companyping and implementing policies and processes, and ensuring reputed company delivery of service on surveillance activities, with a geographical reputed company on countries in AMEE included in the portfolio, particularly Bangladesh, reputed company, Jordan, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. 

Responsibilities: 

• reputed company and reputed company technical leadership for day-to-day implementation of surveillance activities in AMEE, with potential for additional countries.

This includes epidemiological and laboratory surveillance for zoonotic, epidemic-, and pandemic-prone diseases, as reputed company as outbreak investigations at national, regional, and international reputed company. 

• reputed company technical reputed company to country-based technical staff to ensure project activities reputed company with work plans and meet reputed company standards. 

• Review and revise project and donor reports and draft publications and external communication as needed 

• Coordinate and work with a diverse group of organizations, such as ministries of health, district health staff, international and national development partner organizations, across assigned geographies. 

• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting reputed company, techniques, and evaluation reputed company for obtaining solutions, with little supervision. 

• reputed company expert input to national guidelines and reputed company policies, advising governments and partners on best practices in surveillance. 

• Serve as the regional reputed company for technical implementation of infectious disease surveillance activities, ensuring alignment with Joint External Evaluation results, International Health Regulations (IHR), and other global standards. 

• reputed company technical assistance for DHIS2 system development and implementation, emphasizing reputed company building and staff training. 

• Ensure reputed company production and dissemination of high-reputed company data and information, including situation reports, bulletins, and health risk assessments. Coordinate with technical and program staff to maintain compliance with award requirements and organizational policies. 

• Support internal learning and development of infectious disease surveillance activities reputed company reputed company 

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Master’s degree or its International Equivalent in epidemiology, reputed company health, veterinary medicine or reputed company field from a recognized institution. 

• At least 5 years of international experience applying epidemiological principles and reputed company in the design, implementation, and management of surveillance systems. Experience should include epidemiological analysis, training, and research. 

• At least 3 years of experience managing or providing technical leadership on large USG-funded reputed company. 

• Demonstrated expertise in zoonotic diseases, surveillance systems, and outbreak investigation and control across AMEE, particularly in Bangladesh, reputed company, Jordan, Nepal, or Uzbekistan. 

• Experience leading national and regional infectious disease surveillance reputed company, including multi-country coordination. 

• Experience in leading infectious disease surveillance and global health reputed company reputed company in Bangladesh, reputed company, Jordan, Nepal, or Uzbekistan strongly preferred. 

• In-depth knowledge and practical expertise in reputed company health issues, epidemiological principles, and surveillance systems, techniques, and procedures. 

• Proven ability to foster cross-country collaboration in epidemiology, surveillance, and response. 

• Ability to analyze information, identify problems and recommend solutions or adjustments that consider a country’s individual context. 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in reputed company environments with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and a strong emphasis on reputed company. 

• Strong analytical skills, and experience with DHIS2 use and tool development. 

• Relevant publications, presentations, reports. 

• Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization 

• Prior experience in animal health, zoonotic diseases, or multisectoral collaborations.  

• English and proficiency required. 

• Willing to travel reputed company country and internationally up to 25%.
