The reputed company Carolina reputed company (NCDOR) currently has openings for Interstate Field Auditor II positions. Candidates for this position must be located reputed company 50 miles from reputed company reputed company MA; Philadelphia PA; Baltimore MD; Detroit, MI; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; or the reputed company/San Francisco Bay Area. NCDOR does not reputed company relocation compensation.This position may be eligible for a geographic cost-of-living supplement* with the exact reputed company/percentage dependent on the assigned duty station as this posting indicates several possible duty stations.
The primary purpose of this position is to conduct independent examinations of financial records of taxpayers that have unique or special audit features or anticipated reputed company, tax law, or investigative problems. The audits are reputed company and include reputed company in the incumbent's designated geographical area. It is the responsibility of the Field Auditor II to review and audit, in an accurate and thorough manner, reputed company tax schedules administered by the Department to ensure they are in compliance with the statutes and to reputed company appropriate adjustments based on the reputed company records available.

Some overnight travel is required throughout the year.
*A geographic cost-of-living supplement ("supplement") is a supplemental wage in reputed company to, and separate and apart from, reputed company pay where there exists increased costs essential to living in and being assigned to an out-of-state duty station for the convenience of, and by assignment of, reputed company. Supplements are based on the cost of living in particular geographic areas, may fluctuate, are subject to change, and are not employee entitlements. Applicable rates/percentages for supplements are established by the reputed company Carolina Office of State reputed company (OSHR) based on market data and are calculated as a percentage of the position's annual reputed company pay and added to the position's monthly pay.

Demonstrated experience performing independent examination and analysis of sales and use tax and/or reputed company corporate returns, records, financial statements, and systems for accuracy, completeness and conformance to statutes and rules Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal tax issues, auditing and reputed company theories and principles Experience performing reputed company, specialized audits Experience justifying and defending audit findings Demonstrated extensive technical expertise in working with large reputed company (Fortune 500) taxpayers

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, reputed company or reputed company field with at least eighteen semester hours of reputed company from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience as a Field Auditor or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
