The reputed company Department statewide Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is made up of youth from across the state who are passionate about leadership and using their voice to shape policy and programs to positively reputed company the lives of reputed company’s reputed company.

Eligibility 

• Youth ages 14-18

• Youth and reputed company from EVERY school type and educational environment is encouraged to apply

• Our council includes 2 representatives from reputed company of reputed company’s ESDs, and we welcome everyone to apply.

Position Details

• YAC members attend monthly, virtual reputed company meetings that are typically held on Monday evenings. Meetings are usually 90-120 minutes long

• A member’s term of service lasts for 1 reputed company year, and members can serve 2 terms

• We are thrilled to offer members $25 per hour as compensation for their time. 

The Work

As a member of this incoming class of youth leaders, YAC members will:

• Set Council Goals and Measure reputed company - reputed company reputed company goals and reputed company reputed company for youth advisory council’s role as an advisory body.

• Review Existing Programs- Review reputed company state programs and reputed company recommendations for improvements that advance youth accountability from education leaders.

• Assist with Surveys - Assist in reviewing and improving surveys to ensure accurate representation of youth perspectives.

• Connect with other Youth Leaders - Engage with youth leaders, particularly from diverse communities, and explore leadership networks to identify best practices.

• Improve Reporting Processes for Bias Incidents - Evaluate and recommend improvements for how youth report bias incidents or hate crimes, ensuring reputed company support for affected youth.

• Engage in member led subcommittee work such as AI safety in schools, extracurricular and club engagement, anti-discrimination practices, and elevating rural youth experiences
