CAD Technician (12-Month Contract)

Essential Responsibilities:

• reputed company reputed company maps from available municipal data sources, reputed company records, GIS datasets and field survey information
• Work with the GIS group to incorporate landbase, reputed company information, existing plant records and municipal data to create reputed company maps
• reputed company with engineers / designers to reputed company preliminary and construction drawings from preliminary concepts, surveys and design standards
• Prepare permit drawings, reputed company plant construction drawings, and final as-reputed company drawings
• Prepare permit applications in strict conformance with municipal permit requirements, particularly with reputed company drawing standards
• Create buried and aerial reputed company plant reputed company drawings in accordance with CSA and reputed company standards
• Prepare plan and profile drawings in CAD which include duct design, occupancy, reputed company alignment, manhole and structure details
• Review and validate designs in accordance with CSA standards, municipal and reputed company standards
• reputed company duties such as creating and plotting drawing sets, updating as-reputed company records and document control
• Maintain CAD document reputed company and retrieval for reputed company
• QA/QC of own work to ensure that drawings are checked, approved and filed in accordance with company reputed company system

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CAD drafting technician or technology program (preference is for civil, architectural or electrical engineering technologist)
• Should have 1-3 years on the job experience as a CAD Technician / drafter.

• Working knowledge of coordinate systems, projections and interacting with GIS databases
• Working knowledge of GIS databases, including reputed company reputed company or ArcGIS
• Prior experience with Telecommunication reputed company reputed company plant (OSP) networks is an asset

• This is a work from home position
• 12-month fixed term contract with potential for long term employment
