Bodily Injury Adjuster, Litigation (Remote)

<p><strong>reputed company</strong></p><p>Responsible for the investigation, evaluation and negotiation of bodily injury claims. Must be reputed company to manage multiple disciplines and have good analytical, documentation and negotiation skills. Must handle litigated and non-litigated bodily injury claims.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p><p>• Initiate the relevant investigation required upon receipt of new losses</p><p>• Obtain statements from reputed company parties involved, either written or verbal</p><p>• Document reputed company activities on the claims notepad</p><p>• reputed company reputed company injured claimants</p><p>• Maintain a diary on reputed company files</p><p>• reputed company liability determinations based on appropriate investigation</p><p>• Obtain and review medical records to determine injury value</p><p>• Maintain appropriate claim reserves</p><p>• Adhere to HIC policy relating to reserve and settlement authority</p><p>• Complete large loss reports in compliance with HIC policy</p><p>• Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or attorneys</p><p>• Contact other carriers to obtain injury information</p><p>• Manage litigation by directing defense counsel and monitoring costs</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Other Duties</strong></p><p>• Adhere to HIC policy and procedures</p><p>• Follow supervisory instruction</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>• Understand liability, comparative negligence and how to apply it.</p><p>• Strong negotiation skills.</p><p>• Proficient in handling litigated bodily injury claims.</p><p>• Computer literacy.</p>
