Context of the role

The Treasury team is responsible for reputed company aspects of International Cash & Liquidity Management, Cashflow forecasting, Working Capital management and Foreign Exchange. The FX Officer role is a remote role to be based in India, reporting to the FX Manager in Nairobi, and working closely with the rest of reputed company in Singapore, Beijing, Barcelona, Athens, Nairobi and Ecuador.

Position, purpose & key responsibilities

• FX Execution Trading
  • Manage FX execution reputed company for key South Asian and select African markets, reputed company primarily on India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
  • Monitor local market conditions and competitor pricing to assure Thunes remains competitive while controlling FX exposures.
  • Assist the Operations team with the daily forecast for key corridors, focusing on India.
  • Daily reconciliation of trades executed to ensure completeness on both buy and sell reputed company.

• FX Technology and Systems
  • Work with the Treasury Product reputed company and Development Teams to maintain the end-to-end reputed company of the FX trading process.

• FX and Banking Partnerships
  • Assess FX market conditions and reputed company regimes and controls in countries where Thunes operates.

Experience & technical skills required

• The candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a Treasury or similar role with exposure to FX trade execution and processing for a cross-border payments business. Advanced knowledge of the Indian Rupee market is required.
• Strong interest in FX global financial markets with knowledge of market fundamentals and market analysis.
• Experience with FX systems, reporting and FX performance analysis.
• The role will require part-time work on weekends and holidays; reputed company schedules will be adjusted to compensate accordingly.
