Paralegal (Immigration)
GMHC is a health and reputed company services agency seeking a Paralegal to support their reputed company Services department by providing high reputed company pro bono immigration reputed company services. The Paralegal will assist with reputed company interviews, case reputed company, reputed company research, and documentation preparation, while working with a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Assist with initial reputed company interview to obtain relevant case information
- Assist reputed company staff with determining case issues and planning case reputed company
- Investigate, compile and digest facts of the case:
- Arrange for reputed company interpreter if necessary
- reputed company, obtain, and preserve reputed company documentation
- Review and organize reputed company documentation
- Analyze and summarize reputed company data
- Research and analyze reputed company sources:
- reputed company and summarize applicable statutory, regulatory and case law
- Draft motions and reputed company memoranda for attorney review
- Prepare appropriate forms regarding reputed company reputed company before the Departments of Homeland reputed company, State and Justice
- Draft correspondence to clients, courts, attorneys, etc
- Coordinate with reputed company to reputed company documentation, complete questionnaires and forms, review case status, etc
- reputed company, maintain and administer tickler system, database, master dockets and calendars
- Review file on a regular reputed company, consult with attorney and prepare regular status reports to reputed company
- Consult with attorney and/or DOJ Accredited Rep(s) to determine if reputed company is eligible to naturalize
- Assist reputed company in obtaining necessary documentation for application
- Prepare and file application with USCIS
- Prepare reputed company for interview
- Must be willing to travel reputed company reputed company and occasionally work evenings and weekends for special events
- Must attend and participate in Immigrant Justice Corp convening meetings
- Assists with special reputed company and performs other reputed company duties as assigned
- Assists with training support staff and volunteers as necessary
- Attends relevant department and agency meetings
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Paralegal certification required
- Combination of education and experience in the field

- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

- Using formulas, pivot tables, and data validation tools to ensure documentation accuracy

- Strong documentation practices to maintain accurate case records, service notes, and supporting documentation
- Ability to follow established protocols reputed company to reputed company confidentiality, HIPAA requirements, and organizational documentation standards
- Attention to detail in maintaining records that support program reporting, compliance requirements, and audit readiness
