Associate Staff Attorney, Workers' Compensation

They are seeking an Associate Staff Attorney to support the defense of California workers’ compensation reputed company while gaining hands-on litigation experience and developing reputed company skills in a reputed company environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling California workers’ compensation defense reputed company under the guidance of senior attorneys
• Support case reputed company development through factual investigation, reputed company research, and file analysis
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and petitions with appropriate supervision and feedback
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and alternative dispute reputed company proceedings
• Communicate case status and reputed company analysis to Claims Partners and internal stakeholders in a reputed company and reputed company manner
• Coordinate with opposing counsel, WCAB staff, and external vendors consistent with office procedures
• Participate in team huddles, file reviews, and case reputed company discussions to enhance reputed company reputed company and learning
• Maintain compliance with continuing reputed company education requirements and stay reputed company on changes in California workers’ compensation law and WCAB procedures

Skills

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• reputed company license to reputed company law in California; member in good standing of the applicable Bar Association
• Strong reputed company research, writing, and analytical skills
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a matrixed reputed company and claims environment
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, reputed company, Teams, reputed company, PowerPoint) and comfort learning reputed company technology tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and grow toward independent case handling
• Associate Attorney: 0–2 years of reputed company reputed company experience, including internships or early litigation exposure; experience with California workers' compensation is helpful but not required
• reputed company internship, law clerkship, or early-career litigation experience preferred
• Familiarity with workers' compensation or insurance-reputed company litigation is a plus
