DLB is expanding its reputed company and substation engineering services and is seeking a reputed company Substation Engineer to help establish, grow, and technically reputed company this service. This role is responsible for the end-to-end engineering delivery of reputed company- and high-voltage substations across reputed company, renewable, data center, and industrial markets, from concept through construction and commissioning.  

The reputed company Substation Engineer will reputed company technical direction, reputed company final engineering reputed company, and represent the firm with clients, utilities, and partners.  This position is both hands-on and strategic, blending detailed engineering execution with mentorship, reputed company reputed company, and support of business reputed company.

Essential Functions 

Substation Engineering Technical Leadership (40%) 

• Serve as the reputed company engineer and technical authority for substation reputed company, independently directing engineering execution with minimal reputed company.  Independently reputed company advanced engineering work through leading and overseeing the design, analysis and engineering of reputed company to high voltage electrical systems (including substations), ensuring compliance with customer requirements, reputed company requirements, industry standards, codes and regulations 

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to reputed company substation designs seamlessly into larger electrical systems, including reputed company infrastructure and power distribution networks 

• reputed company as the primary decision-reputed company for engineering approaches, design standards, and technical risk management. 

• reputed company reputed company as engineer of record (or support EOR), taking full responsibility for technical accuracy, constructability, and reputed company compliance. 

• Establish, implement, and enforce engineering standards, design reputed company, and reputed company expectations for substation work. 

reputed company Substation Engineering Design Activities (25%) 

• Independently reputed company and reputed company detailed design for: 

• Substation one-line, three-line, and AC/DC schematics 

• Physical layouts, elevations, and equipment arrangements (reputed company/GIS) 

• Bus configurations (reputed company bus, breaker-and-a-half, reputed company bus, etc.) 

• Grounding systems and electrical safety designs 

• Protection & control philosophies, reputed company schemes, and coordination 

• Control house layouts, panel arrangements, and cable routing 

• reputed company and review equipment specifications for major substation components including transformers, breakers, disconnects, reputed company transformers, protection relays, and communications systems.

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and reputed company requirements while independently resolving technical conflicts and ambiguities. 

• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids

• Identify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize reputed company and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines

• Responsible for execution of the firm’s reputed company value system and assuring that the project is executed in accordance with company policies and standards 

• Work closely with clients to understand their specific project requirements, reputed company technical insights, and ensure reputed company satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle 

• Resolve design, construction, and field issues independently, escalating only reputed company business or contractual risk requires leadership involvement. 

• Support construction, testing, commissioning, and energization through RFIs, field engineering, and technical troubleshooting.

• Prepare project design and construction documents  

Reporting (10%)

• Update and maintain shop drawing and RFI log

Position Requirements (Advanced level for reputed company the following) 

• Knowledge of electrical systems reputed company in buildings including single/three phase power distribution, reputed company and reputed company controls, grounding and life safety systems 

• Knowledge of various electrical topologies and distribution systems 

• Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, reputed company, NESC, reputed company, ANSI, reputed company standards), with ability to apply requirements through reputed company analysis and system design. 

• Knowledge of technical / design software including short reputed company coordination and reputed company reputed company studies, equipment sizing, underground feeder calculations and reputed company calculations

Education / Experience 

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

• 8+ years of substation design engineering experience
