Senior Software Developer
MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Software Developer to join our team. For this position the work is remote but a one-time trip to Clarksburg WV customer site is required for processing with the customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
Designs of customized software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
Designs embedded systems software.
Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience specific to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS).
Experience with Java in Linux environments.
Ability to develop program logic for new applications or analyze existing applications.
Experienced with codes, tests, debugs and maintaining software applications.
Ability to analyze requirements and maintain test and integrate applications.
Ability to solve a range of problems independently.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
