Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessor

The role involves supporting human health and ecological risk assessments and site investigations, analyzing field data, and preparing technical reports. The candidate will work as part of a high-performance team on diverse environmental assessment and restoration projects.
Responsibilities
- Supporting human health and/or ecological risk assessments and site investigations
- Working effectively with local and national project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
- Analyzing and interpreting field data
- Preparing visual, graphical, and tabular summaries of environmental data and trends
- Technical report writing
- Supporting proposal efforts
- Conducting project related research (historical data, regulations, etc.)
- Interpreting state and federal regulations
- Fieldwork (e.g., habitat assessment, environmental sample collection, emergency response)
Skills
- BA or BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Toxicology, or closely related field
- 0-2 years of experience
- Strong academic foundation in the life sciences, demonstrated by relevant coursework in biology, zoology, toxicology, and chemistry
- Ability to apply knowledge to real-world environmental and technical challenges
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Capable of working as a productive member of a high-performance team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Specialized academic experience in risk assessment and chemical fate and transport
- Completed advanced coursework in statistics
- Expertise in data visualization
- Proficiency with R coding for statistical analysis and modeling
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft CoPilot
