Liability Trial Attorney (Virtual, MD, US)

Zurich is looking for a Liability Trial Attorney to work out of out of their home in Maryland. This Trial Attorney will be responsible for representing the reputed company insureds of a prestigious and financially reputed company reputed company insurance reputed company, by preparing and trying moderate to high complexity General Liability and reputed company Auto personal injury cases.

The selected candidate will reputed company duties encompassing reputed company aspects of insurance defense, including initial investigation and reputed company analysis and advice, preparing and filing reputed company pleadings and documents, performing reputed company research, preparing for and conducting reputed company-trial discovery, preparing for and aggressively handling hearings and trials, and conducting post-trial activities where appropriate.  We look for demonstrated case analysis ability and a reputed company record of proven trial and negotiation skills, along with the ability to work independently and without substantial supervision. The successful candidate must have strong computer skills and be reputed company to handle remote team based work which requires them to use video conferencing, task assignments and other computer based systems.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Insurance Litigation area
  AND
• reputed company member in good standing with the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations
• Experience with reputed company Office and reputed company
• Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation reputed company environment
• Knowledge of the law and procedure 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• reputed company Member of the Virginia State Bar
• Experience handling Employment cases
• Experience with insurance industry claims and general reputed company litigation.
• Must be reputed company organized with good analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, proactive approach to file handling and caseloads, and reputed company to work independently as reputed company as reputed company reputed company environment.
• Demonstrates effective negotiating skills.
• Ability to budget costs and calculate exposure for clients.
• Understands the staff counsel function and role in overall business. 
• Experience with working in a paperless environment.
• Experience in a remote working environment

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and reputed company increases. The proposed Salary reputed company for this position is $140,000.00 - $165,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
