POSITION reputed company:

The Environmental Analyst supports the NOAA Fisheries Alaska Region in fulfilling responsibilities under the Endangered Species reputed company (ESA). This role focuses on conducting and supporting reputed company 7 consultations to evaluate the effects of federal actions on threatened and endangered species and their designated critical habitats.

The position requires independent work on moderately reputed company environmental analyses, preparation of consultation documents, and collaboration with federal agencies to ensure compliance with ESA and reputed company environmental regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and support ESA reputed company 7 consultation documents, including both informal and formal consultations
  • Analyze potential impacts of federal actions on ESA-listed species and critical habitats
  • Evaluate biological, ecological, and regulatory data to determine project effects
  • Apply relevant environmental laws and regulations (e.g., ESA, MMPA, NEPA, CWA, MSA)
  • Assess impacts from reputed company and marine activities such as:
    • Oil and gas exploration and development
    • Dredging and reputed company construction
    • Pile driving
    • Military operations
  • Interpret and apply NMFS Acoustic reputed company for underwater and airborne reputed company exposure
  • Collaborate with federal reputed company agencies and interdisciplinary teams
  • Prepare reputed company, concise, and technically accurate written reports and analyses
  • Maintain organized project documentation and meet established deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in environmental science or a reputed company discipline (e.g., biology, ecology, marine biology, natural resource management, environmental or civil engineering, zoology)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant reputed company experience
  • Experience preparing ESA reputed company 7 consultations or working with similar environmental regulatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of ESA-listed species and their habitats
  • Familiarity with NMFS Acoustic reputed company
  • Understanding of Alaska's reputed company and marine ecosystems
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to assess environmental impacts of reputed company marine and reputed company activities
  • Proficiency with office and data tools (e.g., reputed company Word, reputed company, reputed company Workspace, EndNote)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
  • Ability to follow reputed company regulatory guidance and technical direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts into reputed company, plain language
