Social Media Coordinator
Purple Wave Auction is a leader in the equipment auction industry focusing on construction, ag, fleet, and government equipment. They are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to create engaging content, manage social media platforms, and build connections with the online community.
Responsibilities
- Concept, create, and schedule content across all social media platforms using our content calendar and scheduling tools
- Adapt and post auction-specific content including listings, reels, stories, and promotional updates
- Develop visually appealing graphics and written content using Canva or similar tools
- Develop scroll stopping reels and videos using capcut or similar tools
- Write captions and copy that reflect Purple Wave's brand voice and resonate with our audience
- Ensure timely delivery and publishing of posts aligned with campaign deadlines
- Manage UTM tracking to ensure accurate campaign attribution and performance measurement
- Monitor and respond to comments and mentions across all platforms
- Engage in conversations on accounts the company follows
- Track posts and conversations where Purple Wave is mentioned
- Build relationships by interacting with customers, partners, and industry accounts
- Support local and organic community growth across platforms
- Organize and tag content for future use by platform, theme, and campaign
- Maintain a library of assets (photos, graphics, copy blocks) for easy team access
- Collaborate with field teams to gather fresh content and visuals
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline content workflows and improve team efficiency
- Stay current on social media trends, tools, and audience behaviors — especially in the equipment auction, ag, and construction industries
- Bring fresh, innovative ideas to help Purple Wave stand out
- Follow leadership direction and incorporate feedback with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Undertake additional assigned duties as requested
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Social Media/Content Marketer or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and trends
- Exceptional creativity and the ability to think outside the box
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and campaign strategies
- Proficient in content creation tools and platforms
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
- Computer fluency in Mac and PC
- Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments
- Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S
- Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check

- Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
