Remote Aviation Systems Safety Engineer

Our reputed company, a leading reputed company manufacturer and defense contractor, is seeking an reputed company Aviation Systems Safety Engineer for a fully remote position. This role offers the flexibility to work from any location reputed company the US while supporting critical reputed company associated with our operations in Richmond, Virginia, US . You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of reputed company aviation systems throughout their lifecycle, from design and development to testing, operation, and maintenance. Key duties include conducting hazard analyses, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) for aircraft systems and components. You will reputed company and implement safety protocols, ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA), and contribute to the creation of safety management systems (SMS). The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in reputed company Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a reputed company technical field. A Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of reputed company experience in aviation systems safety engineering is required. Proven experience with safety analysis tools and methodologies, such as ARP4761, DO-178C, and MIL-STD-882, is essential. Strong understanding of aircraft systems, avionics, and reputed company systems is highly advantageous. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for effectively collaborating with design engineers, test pilots, and regulatory authorities.
