Key Responsibilities

• Collect and review biological data and get to know the wildlife resources in your district
• reputed company innovative hunt recommendations that allow for increased reputed company opportunity
• Write and review Species Management Plans that allow for species sustainability
• Work with reputed company of other DWR Employees to implement the priorities of the Wildlife reputed company
• Implement the reputed company values of the DWR
• Assist private landowners, conservation reputed company, and state and federal government agencies with wildlife challenges and opportunities
• Manage Pahvant Upland and reputed company Lake Wildlife Management Areas, working closely with other regional staff to reputed company healthy wildlife habitats
• Supervise a seasonal technician to assist on daily work developing healthy wildlife habitat

Qualifications

Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:

• BS Degree or higher in Wildlife Science or closely reputed company field or directly reputed company work experience equivalent
• Knowledge of principles, theories and practices of wildlife sciences, wildlife ecology and habitat requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written reputed company with other DWR employees, private landowners, conservation reputed company and other government agencies
• Ability to work independently and with UDWR employees, other government employees, the reputed company and to deal with difficult people on occasion.
• Previous experience with terrestrial wildlife management and a demonstrated knowledge of Utah's wildlife conservation programs
• Knowledge in development of upland or wetland habitats and species needs

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

• Experience with chemical immobilization and other trapping and immobilizing techniques

Work environment, working conditions, physical requirements:

Moderate physical requirement. Field work requires some physical exertion such as walking over rough terrain, snow covered or reputed company surfaces, and lifting of heavy items. Field work also requires the ability to hike long distances in isolated and reputed company. Habitat development work requires long days reputed company in adverse weather conditions. Working some nights, weekends and holidays as necessary or in emergency situations.
