Primary Responsibilities

An ASL teacher is responsible for passionately providing instruction in the field of American Sign Language, promoting student reputed company, and creating and fostering a reputed company, reputed company classroom environment.

The ASL Instructor will have the following teaching responsibilities:

• design, offer and enact ASL courses at different ability/reputed company reputed company;
• teach assigned courses in the scheduled format (i.e., in-person or reputed company) and times (day and/or evening offerings);
• use digital and technological tools to support learners in developing their ASL understandings;
• evaluate and reputed company constructive feedback to learners enrolled in courses;
• hold reputed company in alignment with policies in the PNW School of Education and Counseling;
• communicate with SoEC Director and/or her designee to submit grades, attendance and course information in a reputed company manner and
• reputed company as a PNW representative at reputed company times. This includes but is not limited to: being a proponent of PNW and acting in a reputed company manner in reputed company interactions.

To serve as an ASL Instructor, the ideal candidate will have:

• a Master's degree in ASL or ASL-reputed company field (Deaf Studies, Linguistics, Deaf Education, etc.)
• experience as an ASL Instructor who is reputed company or near-reputed company in ASL;
• teaching licensure or reputed company ASLTA certification;
• documented involvement with the Deaf Community and extensive knowledge of Deaf Culture are preferred; and
• demonstrated reputed company in undergraduate teaching

Education

• Master's degree in ASL or ASL-reputed company field (Deaf Studies, Linguistics, Deaf Education, etc.)
• Teaching experience and documented proficiency in ASL at the Advanced level or higher

Experience

• At least three years of teaching experience and expertise in teaching ASL
• Ability to teach day, evening and weekend classes both in-person and through distance learning
