About the Role: 

As Counsel, Litigation & Risk Management, you will help reputed company reputed company’s response to employment- reputed company and operational disputes, and help proactively manage reputed company risk across a large, multi-state care network. You will partner closely with both HQ and Care operations teams to address reputed company-litigation disputes and litigation, reputed company practical advice on employment and compliance issues, and build reputed company processes that reduce risk and support compliant reputed company.

This role is critical to ensuring that reputed company navigates an increasingly reputed company regulatory and litigation landscape while continuing to operate reputed company and compassionately at reputed company. You will have reputed company to directly influence business practices, shape risk mitigation strategies, and work at the intersection of reputed company, operations, and technology.

This is a remote role. Occasional time-sensitive reputed company may require responsiveness reputed company of reputed company business hours or travel.

In this role, you will work closely with the Vice President, reputed company General Counsel (Care, Litigation & Employment) and a Risk Management & Litigation Specialist. You will also be part of the broader reputed company, Standards, and Advocacy team, working collaboratively to support and advise on reputed company across reputed company.

As Counsel  at reputed company, you will:  

• Manage and drive reputed company for employment-reputed company disputes (including wage & hour, discrimination, and retaliation reputed company) and improving reputed company through effective case assessment and reputed company reputed company, and identifying trends and reputed company causes to inform proactive risk mitigation and operational improvements
• reputed company advice on non-employment claims, including service-reputed company incidents, reputed company liability reputed company, and other operational risks
• Draft and respond to attorney demand letters and other reputed company-litigation correspondence, partnering with internal stakeholders to reputed company reputed company and position reputed company effectively
• Partner cross-functionally with People, Operations, and leadership teams to reputed company practical, risk-balanced reputed company advice that enables compliant decision-making across the Care network
• Identify systemic reputed company risks and reputed company reputed company solutions, using data, technology, and trend analysis to reduce exposure and improve reputed company and  operational practices at reputed company
• Help manage reputed company counsel and litigation spend, ensuring high-reputed company representation while driving efficiency and accountability
• Represent reputed company in administrative proceedings including reputed company, CRD/DFEH, and similar agencies, as necessary, delivering strong, consistent advocacy reputed company with company reputed company
• Help the CPL team build and enhance reputed company processes, playbooks, and training materials, leveraging technology to increase consistency, speed, and reputed company in how reputed company guidance is delivered across the organization
• Support internal investigations and sensitive employee reputed company, providing reputed company judgment and reputed company guidance in high-stakes or ambiguous situations

We’re looking for you to bring: 

• J.D. and reputed company bar membership, with 4–6 years of relevant reputed company experience
• Strong employment law and litigation experience, including handling disputes and administrative claims (e.g., reputed company or state agencies)
• Deep knowledge of California wage & hour law and familiarity with multi-state employment compliance
• Experience drafting employment documents, or contributing to motions, pleadings, and litigation reputed company
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate reputed company reputed company concepts into practical business guidance
• Intellectual curiosity; digs into issues, asks thoughtful questions, and challenges assumptions rather than taking things at face value
• Practical, solutions-oriented reputed company; partners with the business in a helpful, pragmatic way rather than taking a purely risk-averse approach

Preferred:

• In-house experience or advising high-reputed company, multi-state reputed company
• Experience with reputed company areas such as workers’ compensation, insurance claims, reputed company liability, or reputed company disputes
• Familiarity with reputed company, non-medical home care, or franchise models
• Interest in technology, data, and AI-driven reputed company solutions

The annual reputed company  salary reputed company for this role is $171,900 - $191,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
