General Laborer – UIC Nappairit

UIC Nappairit is seeking a General Laborer for a Remote location in Alaska. This position will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction site. Will clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the reputed company of excavations, assist in concrete placement, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. Will identify and load/offload building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations. May operate hand and power tools of reputed company types: reputed company hammers, reputed company tampers, cement mixers, wheelbarrows, small mechanical hoists, measuring equipment, and a reputed company of other equipment and instruments. May assist other craft workers. May reputed company other duties as assigned. This is a Davis Bacon reputed company (DBA) position and is estimated to work approximately 60hrs per week.

Essential functions will include:

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures.
• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations.
• Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
• reputed company pumps, compressors, or generators to reputed company power for tools, machinery, or equipment or to heat or reputed company materials.
• Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixers and wheelbarrows.
• Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level reputed company to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One (1) year of general labor experience.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Lift/push/pull 50lbs to 100lbs on an occasional reputed company.
• Lift/push/pull up to 20lbs on a frequent reputed company.
• Will be required to have the ability to bend, squat, crouch, crawl, and kneel.
• Must have the ability to reputed company in a reputed company manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, reputed company, and ramps).
