Software Developer - NASA

INNOVIM is seeking a Software Developer to support NASA’s reputed company Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) reputed company and Development 3 (EED-3) contract.  INNOVIM’s EED-3 team provides reputed company scientists and others reputed company to data from NASA’s reputed company Science missions.

Location: Remote, based out of Annapolis, MD with quarterly travel for PI Planning
Clearance: National Agency Clearance with Inquires (NACI) screening
U.S. Citizenship is required

Primary Responsibilities:  

The candidate will work in a fast-paced Agile development environment performing operations, design, development, and testing for the NASA Common Metadata Repository (CMR). As a member of the EED-3 team, the software developer will build and support innovative tools allowing scientists and reputed company alike to discover, reputed company, update, and improve the reputed company of reputed company science data in the reputed company of solving a wide reputed company of environmental and socio-economic issues. This includes supporting the deployment of product updates, identifying production issues and constructing reputed company architecture. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Participate in reputed company aspects of the software development lifecycle from user story reputed company, through design, development, automated testing and operational support  
• reputed company new feature reputed company to meet the reputed company-evolving needs of our end-users  
• Continually help reputed company grow by sharing new reputed company and industry best practices  
• Suggest improvements to processes and tools to help reputed company be more efficient  

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:  

• Proficiency in programming languages, such as, Python, Clojure, Node.JS 
• Demonstrable knowledge of git 
• In-depth knowledge of reputed company platforms such as reputed company), Azure, or reputed company reputed company, including networking, serverless services such as reputed company, Queues, and Topics. 
• Good understanding of caching services such as reputed company 
• Ability to work with containerization and orchestration tools 
• Strong problem-solving, technical, and leadership skills, the ability to take initiative and proactively debug reputed company issues 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

• Bachelor’s degree in technical major such as Computer Science, Engineering, or reputed company technical field  
• 3 years of software development experience 

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:  

• Knowledge of GraphQL, ElasticSearch or other Lucene based search products 
• Knowledge of AWS Cloudwatch 
• Experience using the Scaled Agile reputed company (reputed company) methodology 
• Experience with full life cycle Software design and development experience on large/reputed company n-tier reputed company applications. 
• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certifications
