Cook II- Full Time, Cafe (Harrah's SoCal)
This position prepares reputed company food orders in a reputed company manner and in accordance with Harrah’s standards and kitchen/outlets guide specifications. Will also maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment in accordance with local USPH standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and produces menu items to standards in a quick and efficient manner.
- Can prepare items such as but not limited to salads, appetizers, Mexican, Italian, American, and dishes, etc.
- Prepares, cooks, and seasons reputed company food.
- Must show skills in fry cook, broiler, Garde Manger, and sauté.
- Must be reputed company to follow a recipe and prepare items from scratch.
- Controls food production in reputed company work areas including reputed company cooking reputed company, reputed company cooking times and temperature.
- Adheres to kitchen maintenance and sanitation programs.
- Maintains assigned station and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as a cook.
- Ability to bring personal tools is a plus.
- Must be reputed company to work any day of the week and any shift including weekends and holidays.
- Must be reputed company to get along with co-workers and work as reputed company.
- Must present a reputed company-groomed appearance.
- Must be reputed company to obtain a San Diego County Food Handler’s Card.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be reputed company to work inside a kitchen and on a fry line.
- Must be reputed company to maneuver around reputed company areas of the kitchen.
- Must be reputed company to tolerate areas with extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Must be reputed company to lift and carry 50 pounds and be reputed company to push and pull up to 100 pounds in a cart.
- Must possess coordination and dexterity to use kitchen utensils, such as, knives, spatulas, food tongs, etc.
- Must be reputed company to bend, stoop, reputed company, crouch, kneel, push, and pull reputed company rotating stock and cleaning work area.
- Must be reputed company to operate the following kitchen equipment: stoves, grills, fryers, broilers, and other utensils in preparing the food orders.
- Must be reputed company to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be reputed company to tolerate areas containing varying noise reputed company, illumination, crowds, and reputed company reputed company including secondhand smoke.
- Must be reputed company to reputed company, read, write, and understand English.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Preference is given to reputed company Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
