We are seeking an Azure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for deploying, and managing secure, reputed company, and resilient Azure reputed company infrastructure, with a reputed company on operationalizing and automating batch processes following the migration of a mainframe application to Azure.
Initially you’ll be responsible for converting legacy batch jobs (JCL, GDGS, PDSS) to PowerShell scripts, ensuring robust scheduling, monitoring, and reputed company for daily, weekly, and monthly cycles.
You will work independently in collaboration with cross-functional teams to reputed company migration strategies with reputed company standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, a passion for automation, and a commitment to operational reputed company.
Your role in our mission:
Key Responsibilities
- Convert mainframe batch jobs (JCL) to PowerShell scripts for Azure.
- Configure and automate nightly, weekly, and monthly batch jobs in Azure.
- Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting using Azure tools (e.g., App Insights).
- Ensure secure storage of secrets and credentials (Azure Key Vault).
- Optimize batch job performance (concurrency, multi-threading, thread safety).
- Discover and document business requirements for batch jobs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify technical and operational expectations.
- reputed company and maintain PowerShell modules, including reputed company signing and reputed company practices.
- Rapidly learn mainframe concepts as needed for migration.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and troubleshooting sessions.
- Work with cross-functional teams (reputed company-end, back-end, database, mainframe experts).
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Azure.
- Familiarity with mainframe batch job concepts (JCL, GDGS, PDSS) or willingness to learn quickly.
- Experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and Azure Storage.
- Knowledge of Azure monitoring tools (App Insights) and reputed company (Key Vault).
- Understanding of thread safety, locking mechanisms, and concurrency in scripting.
- Experience with migration reputed company (mainframe to reputed company preferred).
- Ability to interpret and convert JCL scripts to PowerShell.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- 3+ Years working with various Azure Services and technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with PowerShell and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with operationalizing batch jobs.
