Who We Are
At the National Christian Foundation (NCF), we are passionate about simplifying the giving process to help people send more to the causes they care about. We are currently in an exciting season of growth and brand evolution, refreshing our visual identity with a new logo, updated color schemes, and modern typography standards. As we roll out these changes, we need a dedicated professional to ensure our visual communication is flawless, consistent, and professional across every platform.
The Role: Why We Need You
We aren’t looking for a "from-scratch" visionary for this specific role; we’re looking for a finisher. The Proofing & Technical Graphic Designer is the guardian of the NCF brand. Your job is to step in after our creative team has produced work—including PDFs, brochures, social media assets, and web pages—and apply a meticulous "eagle eye" to ensure everything is polished and technically perfect.
If you are the type of person who notices when a footer is two pixels out of place or when a hex code is slightly off, you will thrive here. You are the final line of defense before our work reaches the public.
What You’ll Be Doing (Job Duties)
- Brand Quality Control: Review a high volume of documents, images, and web pages to ensure 100% adherence to NCF’s new brand standards.
- Technical Editing: Fix and polish existing designs—don't just point out the mistakes; jump into the files and correct them.
- Consistency Management: Ensure that elements like rounded corners, icon weights, padding, and spacing are identical across dozens of different documents.
- Digital Publishing: Manage the final export process, ensuring files are optimized for their destination, whether it’s a high-quality print brochure or a web-ready asset.
- Website Maintenance: Update web pages via WordPress, recreate web forms, and ensure our intranet and external sites are visually aligned.
- Cross-Platform Synchronization: Verify that every piece of collateral looks like it was "created by the same expert designer on the same day".
Requirements & Skills
- The "Eagle Eye": You have a super-fine-tooth-comb approach to proofing and an obsession with consistency.
- Design Software Proficiency: High-level skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Figma.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in PowerPoint (reviewing and proofing decks) and general knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Web Savvy: Experience with WordPress and the ability to manage/update web content. Familiarity with Canva is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of padding, spacing, typography usage, and icon weights.
- Adaptability: While we expect a strong baseline of skills, you are a lifelong learner willing to undergo training on specific tools or NCF-specific workflows.
