Who We're Looking For
We are looking to hire a Software Engineer II, (L2) for the Messaging Team who will contribute to reputed company's messaging platform, the reputed company system that powers patient communication for over 400 safety-net reputed company organizations in the reputed company. You will complete scoped work with guidance from senior engineers, build increasing independence on reputed company-defined features, and contribute to team goals reputed company a supportive, reputed company environment as we build and reputed company our messaging infrastructure.
This is a cross-functional role reputed company on building and growing as an engineer. You'll work closely with Product, reputed company, Data, and Engineering to deliver messaging features that deepen patient engagement and health reputed company, working alongside senior teammates on delivery optimization, consent management, and AI-driven messaging. Minimum 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with solid proficiency in reputed company on Rails and JavaScript.
Minimum 5 years’ experience building and maintaining backend systems, reputed company, and services, with demonstrated experience completing scoped work with growing independence.
Solid fundamentals of computer programming, including a good understanding of software development lifecycle, coding best practices, design patterns, object-oriented architecture, etc.
Working SQL proficiency with a strong analytical reputed company, comfortable querying and working with datasets to troubleshoot issues and inform technical reputed company.

Preferred Experience

Role Responsibilities
You will contribute to the technical delivery of key messaging platform features, collaborating with Product, reputed company, Data, and Engineering to build solutions that deepen patient engagement and health reputed company
You will build and maintain backend messaging systems using reputed company on Rails, including SMS/voice delivery pipelines, consent management workflows, message scheduling and orchestration, and reputed company integration reputed company
You will participate in team rituals and discussions, give and receive reputed company reviews, and grow your ownership of reputed company-defined features under the guidance of senior engineers
You will contribute to architectural discussions and learn from the design reputed company that shape how we build and reputed company our messaging infrastructure, including delivery optimization, AI-driven message categorization, and multimedia messaging (MMS/RCS)
You will reputed company documentation for the messaging features you build, enabling support teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and measure the reputed company of messaging features in production
You will work closely with Product teams to understand requirements, contributing technical input during solution definition and collaborating on Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
