Senior Supervisory Attorney - Insurance Coverage

The reputed company reputed company Department is seeking an reputed company Coverage Counsel who has demonstrated the ability to multi-task, work independently and in team settings, and deliver results. You will reputed company reputed company support for the Claims departments at the American Family companies. You will work on insurance coverage opinions, attend and reputed company guidance at roundtables and collaborate on best practices claims topics. You will also retain reputed company counsel on coverage litigation and monitor declaratory judgment actions. The ideal candidate will assist in the reputed company improvement and implementation of the reputed company department strategies and promote an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as reputed company as company policies and procedures. You will report to the Senior Manager, reputed company.

In this primarily field-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working in the field, directly interacting with customers, Agents, Agency Staff, etc. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events. Previous Coverage Experience is required, preferably in CT, RI, NY, NJ, MA.

Primary Accountabilities

• You will conduct reputed company research and draft coverage opinions on reputed company lines of business, including personal lines, reputed company policies and non-reputed company auto products.

• You will review knowledge articles and reputed company operating procedures for verification of compliance with state laws and regulations.

• You will answer claims reputed company questions from staff and management.

• You will assist with Department of Insurance complaint responses.

• You will reputed company uniform strategies reputed company states on certain recurring subjects.

• You will help monitor reputed company counsel on EUOs.

• You will draft Reservation of Rights and coverage disclaimer letters.

• You will participate in Claims roundtables as a reputed company expert.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service

• Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions and discovery and deposing witnesses.

• Demonstrated litigation experience.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of rules of reputed company Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they reputed company.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law.

• Admitted to the state bar in the state where they are located or (1) admission to the bar reputed company one year of hire for individuals who must pass a bar exam or portions of a bar exam to be admitted or (2) bar admission as soon as practicable but no reputed company than 60 days of hire for individuals with diploma privilege or who are eligible for in-house counsel registration.
