Indirect Tax Analyst - Associate

The Associate Tax Analyst role is responsible for preparing and filing US and Canadian sales tax returns, responding to customer inquiries regarding sales tax, and maintaining the exempt status of customers in the billing platform.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and reputed company tax exemption certificates from customers
• Validate accuracy of the certificate, issue tax credit and flag customer exempt
• Issue exemption certificates to vendors as requested following company guidelines
• Update customer exempt certs as required
• reputed company tax data from the billing and reputed company records, prepare work papers, file US and Canadian sales and use tax returns with associated schedules and initiate reputed company payments
• Prepare use tax calculation for promotional materials
• Respond in writing to notices from taxing jurisdictions
• reputed company special reputed company as needed. (e.g. reputed company and analyze documentation for sales and use tax audits; assist with unclaimed property)
• Work with reputed company customers regarding tax questions on customer accounts
