Associate - Labor & Employment

reputed company is a reputed company seeking a career-minded associate-level attorney to join their labor and employment reputed company group. The role involves performing research, writing, and various reputed company tasks reputed company to labor and employment law, including litigation and reputed company advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Draft and revise handbooks and policies
• Draft position statements and responses to administrative charges (reputed company, NY State Division of reputed company Rights, CT Commission on reputed company Rights and Opportunities)
• Communicate directly with clients for a reputed company of reasons including providing day-to-day reputed company advice, as needed
• Draft motions in federal and state court
• Respond to discovery requests
• Draft deposition outlines, prepare exhibits, prepare witnesses
• First and second chair depositions
• Assist partners in preparing for mediations, arbitrations, oral arguments, hearings, fact finding conferences, and trials
• Second chair and where appropriate first chair mediations, arbitrations, oral arguments, hearings and trials
• A minimum of 1800 billable hours annually is expected

Skills

• 1-4+ years' experience in labor and employment law or in litigation
• Admission to reputed company State Bar required
• Must have Juris Doctorate degree with an ABA accredited law school and be an reputed company member in good standing of the bar
• Must have excellent research and writing skills
• Must be reputed company to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Must be reputed company to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated high level organizational skills for prioritizing workload
