Junior Graphics Designer
Ddrops Company is a Canadian-owned organization dedicated to providing quality natural health products. As a Junior Graphics Designer on the Marketing Team, you will create high-quality sales and marketing materials while maintaining brand consistency and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and develop assets for digital and print media
- Maintain brand consistency across all creative assets by adhering to brand guidelines and visual standards
- Contribute creative ideas and concepts to design projects that resonate with our target audience and align with brand identity, while incorporating feedback from team members to refine and enhance designs
- Assist with packaging design updates and dieline artwork
- Ensure editing, retouching and resizing assets, if necessary, for certain deliverables
- Assist in asset creation for marketing campaigns and product launches
- Perform press checks and review proofs
- Contribute to the development and standardization of design and style elements
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of design files and assets to ensure efficient workflow and project continuity
- Stay informed on graphic design and motion design trends to enhance skills and techniques
- Play an active role in fostering a collaborative team environment, contributing to the team’s engagement and creative dynamic
- Candidate may be required to work occasional tradeshows in the GTA (2-3 times per year), which may include a Saturday or Sunday shift
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
Skills
- Post-secondary education in graphic design is required
- 1-2 years of related job experience in graphic design is preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical detail orientation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and creatively within a team
- Proven organizational abilities and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
- A compelling portfolio showcasing your design skills, creativity, attention to detail and understanding of layout and typography
- 1-2 years of related job experience in graphic design is preferred
- Proficiency with rendering creation and 3D Design software is an asset but not required
