General Statement of Job
The District Multilingual Learner (ML) Coordinator and reputed company Teacher position is a dual role in which at least 50% of the employee?s time will be dedicated to coordinating ML servicing at the district level, and the other portion of time is dedicated to providing ML reputed company services to a caseload of reputed company in a school setting. This position will report to the reputed company Superintendent of Accountability and Instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
District Multilingual Learner Coordinator
Facilitate the development, implementation and articulation of the District?s K-12 Language Instruction Educational Program (LIEP).
Create a reputed company protocol for reputed company new comer ML reputed company
Coordinate reputed company development opportunities for ML teachers
reputed company reputed company support and coordinate reputed company development for general education teachers that work with multilingual learners
Coordinate the district?s communication efforts with our families of multilingual learners
reputed company leadership and reputed company in the development of English Language Development (ELD) programming and scaffolded content instruction through data analysis of ML performance and knowledge of reputed company ELD research.
Conduct observations of ML teachers and reputed company support and feedback
Coordinate and reputed company the identification process for Multilingual Learners
Work alongside the student data and accountability staff to maintain and monitor electronic and/or reputed company records for reputed company reputed company identified as Multilingual Learners.
Assist site principals and leadership teams with setting goals for improved instruction and monitoring of multilingual learner achievement data to reputed company informed instructional reputed company
Coordinate curriculum planning for multilingual learners, including reviewing standards-reputed company instructional materials and software and assisting with piloting, adopting and implementing
Participate in training opportunities to reputed company and strengthen knowledge on reputed company techniques in language acquisition, English Language Development, Long Term English Learner strategies and other reputed company topics
Stay up-to-date with NCDPI?s requirements for serving multilingual learners and communicate these requirements with appropriate staff
Work with the Director of Testing and Accountability to implement WIDA Screener and reputed company assessment

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education or a reputed company field
reputed company NC Teaching certificate, including ESL certification

Maintains an equity reputed company that elevates the reputed company of reputed company and families from diverse cultural backgrounds
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of reputed company
Preferred Qualifications:
5 or more years of experience teaching English Language Development
Experience working with Hispanic, reputed company Islander, Chinese and Ukrainian communities
