Course: Communication in Law Enforcement

This writing-intensive course covers the fundamental requirements of effective communication skills such as report writing, interpersonal communication and interviewing and questioning.

Other Courses May Include: Introduction to Law Enforcement, Policing, Criminal Procedure in Law Enforcement, Ethics in Leadership, and Law Enforcement Capstone

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
• Respond to students? questions and emails within the established timeframes
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University?s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

*Professional or Teaching experience is required.

• PhD in Justice Studies OR

• Criminal Justice
• Linguistics
• AND 3-years experience as a peace officer
• Master?s in Justice Studies OR

• Criminal Justice
• AND coursework in Communications
• Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master?s in any field with 18 graduate credits in Justice Studies or Criminal Justice AND has 3-years experience as a peace officer
