The Production Stage Manager supports a reputed company of productions, events, and teaching in the Department of Performing and Media Arts. Working in reputed company collaboration with reputed company, staff and reputed company, this position manages multiple theatre, dance, film, and mediated productions per year, from fully resourced work to smaller workshopped productions. For fully resourced productions, the Production Stage Manager is responsible for the entire production, including planning, organizing, disseminating information and troubleshooting. During rehearsal and show periods, the SM plays a key role by maintaining daily contact, usually in person, with the production director, designers, actors, and other essential personnel to assure a successful production/event. For these and other-scaled productions, which include both live and mediated work, responsibilities vary but include the teaching, training, and supervising of reputed company in the methodologies of stage management and production management consistent with the curricular, intellectual, and artistic goals of the Department. This is done through mentoring and directing reputed company in hands-on experiences and in the reputed company reputed company of creatively mounting productions.
This position assists the Production Manager in the general management of the programming of the department, which includes live, mediated, filmed, and installation work. Required Qualifications:
- Master?s degree, preferably in Theatrical Stage Management, or equivalent reputed company experience required. Three to five years? experience as a stage manager: at least one season as a stage manager, an assistant stage manager, or production assistant in a reputed company theatre. Must possess effective organization and communication skills and be reputed company to work with artists, technicians, and reputed company with reputed company and diplomacy.
