This position is a vital member of the Engineering Group within our Integrated Operations Division. As a Senior Aerospace Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive engineering support to the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. What You'll Do

As a Senior Aerospace Engineer at arenaflex, your days will be filled with meaningful work that keeps our fleet running smoothly. Here's what you can expect:

  • Technical Training & Mentorship: Conduct specialized training for Engineers in your area(s) of expertise. You'll serve as a mentor to other Engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers. Additionally, you'll lead teams as a team leader/facilitator for project management or issue resolution initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Coordination: Coordinate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities as required, ensuring that Engineering procedures are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals. You'll be the bridge between arenaflex and external stakeholders, maintaining our reputation for excellence.
  • Procedure Development: Create customized methods and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals. Your innovative solutions will directly improve our maintenance operations.
  • Operational Support: Stay informed about daily airline operations within your field of responsibility. Review daily needs according to aircraft/departmental objectives and management directives. You'll be on the front lines of ensuring our fleet is ready for every flight.
  • Issue Analysis & Resolution: Analyze aircraft/component issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance operations. Determine appropriate corrective actions to minimize disruption and maintain our high standards of reliability.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide Engineering support as needed for the resolution of discrepant situations affecting aircraft or parts to restore operational status. Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is needed to support operations or resolve issues.
  • Project Planning: Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursue definitive solutions according to assessed needs. Your planning skills will drive efficiency across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with other airline divisions as needed to facilitate effective and efficient execution of Engineering procedures. Build relationships that enhance our overall operations.
  • Documentation Excellence: Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft/departmental objectives and management mandates.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect your areas of responsibility. Ensure all Engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience regularly. Also, endeavor to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
  • Team Engagement: Actively engage with frontline colleagues and management equally, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone's contributions are valued.

All You'll Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or related Engineering certification
  • Experience: One year of Engineering experience in a related field OR two years of experience without a degree
  • Technical License: A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license is required

Required Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other productivity tools
  • Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze technical data and make informed, data-driven decisions
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated aptitude, ability, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities
  • Communication Skills: Ability to prepare/deliver presentations that advance acceptance of solutions
  • Client Focus: Ability to connect with internal and external clients effectively
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to address complex technical challenges
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation and compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in airline or aerospace engineering
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance software systems
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification
  • Project management experience
