About the Role

As a Lead Packaging Strategy Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our packaging infrastructure. You'll be the architect of data requirements, taxonomy structures, and specification logic that support packaging design optimization and sustainability initiatives across all owned brand categories. Your work will directly influence how products reach customers, how sustainable our operations become, and how efficiently our global supply chain functions.

This position offers the unique opportunity to work with cross-functional teams spanning multiple continents, including our offices, product vendors, and packaging suppliers across the US, China, India, and other global locations. What You'll Do

• Build Data Excellence: Develop foundational data requirements, taxonomy structures, and specification logic to support packaging design optimization and sustainability initiatives across all owned brand categories.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with sourcing, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance teams to establish relevant data requirements and flexible guidelines that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Manage Documentation: Create and administer change processes to ensure accurate packaging documentation management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams.
• Drive Training & Communication: Develop, manage, and execute innovative training programs and creative communications for internal and external audiences, driving comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices.
• Optimize Solutions: Evaluate data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, improve engineering practices, and maintain our leadership position.
• Support Teams: Provide assistance and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and enactment of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
• Ensure Compliance: Consult with appropriate internal legal and regulatory informed parties, identifying effects on current data requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for outstanding performance.
• Lead Global Initiatives: Work with cross-functional global partners to drive effective communication and roadshows around stated objective development, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations.
• Analyze Trends: Use data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
• Stay Ahead of Industry: Investigate industry trends and assess arenaflex's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with appropriate audiences for improvement and compliance.
• Mentor & Lead: Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team results.
• Cultivate Culture: Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with arenaflex's values of Inclusivity, Connection, and Drive; ensure ongoing, effective communications to the team, and support individualized development by offering regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and evaluation.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Experience: 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards programs, preferably including packaging design and development
• Leadership Skills: Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, facilitate groups, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, both in-person and remotely, across all levels of an organization
• Technical Writing: Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting
• Communication Excellence: Skilled at developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training programs, roadshows, and communications
• Team Leadership: Experience leading teams and/or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and cooperation
• Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical abilities
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills
• Adaptability: Flexibility and resilience; comfortable working in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
