Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Field Service Technician to perform mechanical services, maintenance, and light remanufacturing on our beverage dispensing equipment. This position covers service calls in the Tampa Bay Region and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude.

As a Field Service Technician at arenaflex, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage dispensing equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role offers variety and independence, as you'll be working directly at customer locations, solving challenges, and building relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform mechanical services and light remanufacturing on soda fountain and beverage dispensing equipment according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Investigate, diagnose, and identify issues with beverage dispensing equipment, using technical expertise to determine the root cause of malfunctions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance visits to keep all refrigeration and dispensing equipment in proper working condition, minimizing downtime and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Equipment Installation and Relocation: Transport equipment to and from service locations to perform all mechanical services, including preventive maintenance, programming, and corrective maintenance.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain a positive attitude, function as a collaborative team member, and create excellent customer-oriented solutions. Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities using company systems and tools.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing service operations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain service vehicle inventory, ensuring all necessary parts and tools are available for job completion.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to customers on the proper use and care of beverage dispensing equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Demonstrate flexibility to arrive on weekends and holidays as needed to respond to urgent service requests and maintain customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for field service work.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply new technical concepts quickly.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by business needs and emergency service calls.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in field service, equipment repair, or maintenance roles.
  • Background in refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with beverage dispensing equipment or similar machinery.
  • Technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Prior customer service experience in a professional setting.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in service maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining company standards.
