**Experienced External Support Engineer – Bridging Content Teams and Tools Engineering at arenaflex**

As a key member of our support team, you will be the first point of contact for content teams experiencing issues with our tools, providing technical support, creating reference materials, and escalating complex issues to the tools development team.

**Key Responsibilities**
As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Providing technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools
* Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset
* Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users
* Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and working with production to track these issues in JIRA
* Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams
* Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality
* Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion
* Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions
**Skills and Abilities**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Ability to read and understand C# code
* Good written and verbal communication, including working with external partners
* Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback
* Excellent organization skills
* Self-motivating; able to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously
* Experience supporting a live service or tool environment
* Unity 3D game and tool development experience
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software
* iOS and Android mobile development experience
* 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment
**Education and Experience**
We are looking for candidates with a Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience. Experience supporting a live service or tool environment is essential, as is Unity 3D game and tool development experience. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software is also highly desirable. iOS and Android mobile development experience is a plus.
**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
Our core hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings, etc. during this time. As a remote worker, you will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
