**Experienced Data Engineer – Cloud-Based Data Pipeline Development and Support**

Our Data Engineering team is part of the Disney Choice Science + Mix (DDSI) association, which supports clients across The Walt Disney Organization, including Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Disney Media Networks, and ESPN.
**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us develop and support cloud-based data pipelines that drive business value and inform strategic decisions. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues on various projects, including data pipeline development, data set design, and data visualization.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and technologies, such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
* Design and implement data set schema, tables, and views to support data analysis and visualization
* Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data sets and support data-driven decision-making
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and reliability
* Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives
* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS
* Strong understanding of data set design and data visualization principles
* Experience working with version control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark
* Proficiency in cloud design and product development, with experience working with AWS
* Experience managing and deploying code using a source control system, such as GitLab or GitHub
* Experience using Docker and containerization technologies
