**Experienced Customer Service Representative – Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy**

**Job Summary:**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty drug treatment. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling new and reorder requests, verifying and renewing benefits, and assisting with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system. You will also be responsible for communicating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders that have issues or discrepancies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to phone inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Handle new and reorder requests, verifying and renewing benefits, and assisting with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
* Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders that have issues or discrepancies
* Collaborate with patients to understand their needs and provide personalized support to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders
* Work closely with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless communication with patients and stakeholders
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and order processing
* Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards for customer service and order processing
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, communications)
* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer inquiries via phone
* One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
* One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency
* Dynamic IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and stakeholders
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving
* Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems
