**Key Responsibilities**
As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for:
* Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
* Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
* Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
* Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
* Maintaining a safe and secure work environment, adhering to all operational processes and procedures.
**Work Environment and Physical Demands**
As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow. You'll be required to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, standing, and walking, with repetitive tasks like loading and stacking bags weighing up to 50-70 pounds. You'll also be required to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

**What You Need to Succeed**
To be successful as a Ramp Agent, you'll need:
* Consistently prioritizing safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
* Embracing diverse people, thinking, and styles.
* Possessing a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
* Being at least 18 years of age and having authorization to work in the United States.
* Having a valid driver's license.
* Proficiency in English.
* Passing a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
* Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
* Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
