Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Northrop Grumman</b> is seeking a <b>Supply Chain Procurement Specialist</b>&nbsp;for its <b>Weapon Systems Division</b>.&nbsp; This position is a telecommute role.</p><p></p><p><b>Armament Systems</b> specializes in the development and production of Ammunition, Guns and Precision Guidance Ordinance.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary:</b>&nbsp; Sources and procures specialized goods and services of a commodity nature from multiple suppliers. Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers. In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules. Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations. Issues purchase orders. Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations. Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">logistics/transportation</span> &amp; warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded. Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed. Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.<br>&nbsp;</p><p><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>This position emphasis skills and experience.&nbsp; Must have 6 years of experience.&nbsp; Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum work experience of 2 years&nbsp;or a Master’s degree and 0 years of experience.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations</p></li><li><p>Possess ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Have general knowledge of FAR/DFAR and associated Federal Contracting regulations</p></li><li><p>Possess strong organizational skills</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate ability to multi-task and make decisions in a timely manner</p></li><li><p>Ability to work with minimal supervision, work successfully&nbsp;in a fast- paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem solving</p></li><li><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills-Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences</p></li><li><p>The successful candidate must have experience working with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable, possess knowledge relating to special payment provisions (progress or performance-based payments). Applicant must understand the proposal process, pricing instructions, terms and conditions and determine the adequacy of supplier proposals received</p></li><li><p>US Citizenship required</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Government contract knowledge and/or experience</p></li><li><p>Microsoft Office proficiency</p></li><li><p>Experience using CostPoint, Cognos and SharePoint</p></li><li><p>Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance</p></li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Primary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00 - $94,100.00<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
