**Job Summary**
As an Experienced Customer Service Specialist II in Animal Services, you will be responsible for providing advanced clerical support to our Animal Services - Pet Services team. Your primary duties will include:
* Providing customer service functions, including answering telephone calls, directing them accordingly, and responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
* Typing letters, reports, forms, and correspondence, and maintaining accurate records and reports on a personal computer.
* Performing data retrieval and entry into our software application, and performing other clerical functions as needed, such as processing mail, filing, and scanning.
* Maintaining knowledge of standard office methods and procedures, business English, spelling, and arithmetic, as well as County departments, operations, and regulations.
* Collaborating with our team to ensure seamless customer service experiences and resolving customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
**Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their queries and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner.

* Perform related work as required, including working before, during, or after an emergency, and temporarily being assigned to work and perform duties outside the normal scope of your position, location, and work schedule.
**Requirements**
* Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
* One (1) year of experience in customer service duties involving frequent public contact.
* Experience in the operation of a personal computer required.
* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
* Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
* Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
* Ability to meet and deal with people effectively.
* Ability to use a personal computer and related software.
* Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
* Ability to learn the procedures and operations of the unit to which assigned.
* Ability to type accurately on a personal computer.
* Ability to communicate with others in person, via telephone, in writing, and online.
* Ability to read for comprehension.

* Experience working in a customer-facing role in the animal services industry.
* Knowledge of animal welfare and customer service principles.
