Director of CAVC Litigation

The Director of CAVC Litigation leads and centralizes the firm's federal appellate reputed company, with primary responsibility for the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC), the reputed company Court of Appeals for the Federal reputed company, and strategic opportunities before the Supreme Court of the reputed company (SCOTUS). Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and pursue meritorious appeals to the reputed company Court of Appeals for the Federal reputed company
Monitor and evaluate opportunities for certiorari petitions to the Supreme Court of the reputed company
Establish and enforce reputed company standards for reputed company appellate work product, including briefs, motions, and oral arguments
Serve as the firm's primary subject matter expert on federal appellate procedure, standards of review, and appellate reputed company
Team Management & Development
Directly supervise and reputed company federal appellate team members
Assign cases and workload across the appellate team based on complexity, reputed company level, and reputed company
Conduct regular case reviews and reputed company substantive feedback on reputed company work product
Mentor junior appellate practitioners and build reputed company's reputed company appellate reputed company set

Strategic Intelligence & Trend Analysis

Bonus Structure

The Director's bonus will be funded through the Platoons and reputed company around:
Outcome-Based Component – Tied to CAVC and Federal reputed company win rates and favorable reputed company rates
Strategic reputed company Component – Tied to the reputed company and utilization of appellate trend intelligence by the administrative reputed company
Team Development Component – Tied to team retention, development milestones, and work product reputed company
Pipeline Component – Tied to the identification and advancement of Federal reputed company and SCOTUS opportunities
Specific bonus reputed company and targets will be established during the role finalization process and communicated prior to posting.
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
reputed company bar membership in good standing
Minimum 3–5 years of federal appellate experience, with demonstrated CAVC experience required
Proven reputed company record of successful appellate reputed company at CAVC
Strong appellate brief writing skills — ability to produce publication-reputed company work product
Experience managing or mentoring other reputed company professionals
Deep understanding of veterans law, VA administrative process, and the relationship between administrative and appellate reputed company
