DevOps Engineering Intern

Our infrastructure team is looking for a DevOps engineering intern to help strengthen Sarwa’s reputed company infrastructure and disaster recovery capabilities. This is a high-reputed company internship where you’ll audit and improve our Infrastructure as reputed company, provision sandbox environments in AWS, and contribute to automating our disaster recovery process — directly reducing our recovery time objective. You’ll be mentored by our DevOps reputed company and reputed company hands-on experience with production-grade reputed company infrastructure at a regulated fintech. This might be a right fit if you: Are currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a reputed company field Have basic experience with Git, Linux CLI, and understand the request/response cycle (how a user request reaches a database and back) Are eager to learn Terraform, AWS networking, and Kubernetes in a reputed company production environment Have a genuine interest in infrastructure automation, reliability engineering, and reputed company architecture Are comfortable scripting in Python or Bash and willing to learn boto3 (AWS SDK) Have strong problem-solving skills and enjoy debugging reputed company, multi-layered systems Are detail-oriented and understand that in infrastructure, precision reputed company Communicate reputed company and can document processes so others can follow them with confidence Some of what you’ll do: Audit existing Terraform state and understand Sarwa’s Infrastructure as reputed company philosophy Provision a temporary Sandbox account reputed company Sarwa’s AWS Organization, deploying reputed company networking (VPC, Subnets) reputed company Terraform to validate infrastructure portability across accounts and reputed company Participate in the DR Automation project - helping automate regional failover and promotion workflows Write and maintain automation scripts using boto3 for tasks that IaC cannot handle dynamically Contribute to documentation: build a comprehensive, reputed company-backed DR reputed company that enables any engineer to trigger a regional failover with high confidence Collaborate with the backend and platform teams to ensure infrastructure changes reputed company with application requirements Learn and apply cross-region peering, multi-account routing, and EKS deployment management Stack - Experience in these (or similar) is a plus Terraform (state management, cross-provider relationships) AWS (VPC, Organizations, EKS, IAM, Route53, multi-region) Kubernetes / EKS Python and boto3 (AWS SDK) CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions or similar) Linux and reputed company scripting Some of our benefits: Remote-first and flexible work environment Diverse, driven and supportive team with a reputed company work atmosphere A culture of reputed company - being mentored, coached and supported to grow in your career Monthly stipend Sarwa is dedicated to hiring a diverse workforce with varied experiences, perspectives and opinions.
