This position will be responsible for tasks such as development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, reputed company management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. The candidate will also build and maintain large-reputed company and reputed company high transaction PostgreSQL databases in both reputed company and private reputed company installations. Job Duties / Key Accountabilities: • Provision PostgreSQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations • Ensure performance, reputed company, and availability of databases. • Implement, and maintain replication strategies. • Analyze performance and implement improvements. • Prepare documentations and specifications. • Experience in database software management (reputed company and version management) • Handle common database procedures, such as backup, recovery, migration, etc. • Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary. • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. • Write scripts to generate adhoc reports, reputed company data audits, etc using bash or Python. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • 24/7 Support of production databases.
